Trains and boats and planes, and horse and carts, buses and trams, and all things transport were on display

The committee decided it might be an advantage to use the Chuch Hall for this exhibition, partly because the disabled acess is better and partly because Ted Garbett would have to struggle to get his motor cycle upstairs.   We started by rearranging the furniture, tables  were carried from one end of the room to the other, boards full of photographs and other memorabilia were soon set up.

John Hughes gave a very interesting talk on buses and trams, his own photographic collection was also on display, John also owns his own vintage motor car, its a pity he couldnt drive it into the hall today.

Tome for refreshments Ted Garbett and his 1929 Radco Motorbike
Ah, it must be time for refreshments Another great exhibit, no not Ted, the motor cycle,

Another great exhibit the motor cycle, brought in by our very own Ted Garbett. His 1929 Radco proved to be a big hit amongst visitors today. People queued up to sit on it and have a picture taken, and why not. Although the bike is in full working order Ted bought it to the hall today on a trailer, mind you the trailer was pulled along by Teds vintage Morris Minor. Two vintage vehicles for the price of one eh...

A View of the former school

The end of another very successful exhibition, time to clear away the displays, and put away the cups and saucers, till next time.
