We meet again for another AGM  at Bilston Town Hall. The weather may be cold outside but there is plenty of  warmth in the ballroom.
The meeting is the fisrt of events in  this years programme.  After the business of the Annual General Meeting memebrs were invited to stay for our exhibition “ In The Beginning”.

Alanopened the meeting at 1pm and thanked everyone for turning up on such a wintry day.
Apologies were received from several members due to some health issues.

Following a brief report on the past years events the committee were re elected and Megan announced that Ed Elks would be taking on the role of Secretary.
Megan had taken up the secretarys role since Stephanie Merrett stood down due to other commitments.

Also standing down from the committee was Tom Larkin, Tom is a founder member of the Club and although the committee accepted that he would like
to take a step back from his work within the Club, we could not accept his resignation. The Club made Tom an Honarary Life Member, but that does not let
him off the hook... we still expect to see him from time to time.
The remaining members of the committee were nominated en block and all agreed to stand again for another year.

Frank Sharman’s stunning display of jappaned ware proved popular with members. Reg Summerfield showed off his collection of memorabila. Bill Howe displayed an array of photographs,  Bill will be back in October when we will be treated to one of his very interesting talks.

Alan Bickley’s collection proved to be of great interest. A magnificent  collection of Bilston enamels were diplayed by new members  Lin and Dave Ashley.
A collection of household items show off by Dave Plummer brought back plenty of memories of bygone days.

A rare Bilston Technical School attendace medal was brought along by one of our members, the medal dated 1907 is in fantastic condition, the lady also showed us a winners medal awarded to Mr T.Doughton from the Bilston & District Bowling League. Other displays from Ted Garbett, Henry Metzger, Gerald Hanrahan, Maurice Chillington, and Barry Hodgson all kept members interested during the afternoon.
